Tommy Turriff is the “T” in TLC Ingredients and is a founding partner. All aspects of TLC’s business, including sales, operations, and finance & administration, report to Tommy. Tommy has more than 25 years of experience in the chemical distribution industry. Areas of particular strength are sourcing, administration, food safety and EHS&S. Tommy leads TLC’s Product Safety Management Team, as well as the Corporate Social Responsibility Team.
Tommy has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster and is bilingual in Spanish and English. Tommy enjoys participating in his four kids’ activities, especially Scouting. He also enjoys volunteering at a regional and national level for the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) and the Chicago Drug & Chemical Association (CD&CA).

Co-founder of TLC Ingredients and the “L” in TLC. Pete brings 50 years of industry experience with an extensive background in sales, marketing, procurement and product knowledge both in manufacturing and distribution. Pete focuses on key TLC Ingredients customers along with establishing and maintaining vendor relationships. With his experience and industry knowledge, Pete promotes these values to the TLC Ingredients sales team and its employees.
Jim Cavelle
Jim completes the “C” in TLC Ingredients and will always be remembered and forever missed. As a co-founder, it was his sense of urgency and vision that helped build our company. As our original Vice President of Operations, he set the standard for unparalleled commitment to top-quality service. The concept of “Tender Loving Care” is the foundation of our business, and Jim’s dedication to staff and customers made that happen.

Mike came to TLC Ingredients in 2014. His 30+ years of chemical and food ingredients operations management experience, as well as extensive expertise in environmental, health, safety, and security, are welcome additions to the TLC Ingredients Management Team. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Food Safety and Quality Systems.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. There, he was active on the Meat Science Team and was a member of the Animal Science Academic Quadrathlon Team. Mike is an ultra-marathoner, and he and his wife foster dogs for the Illinois Shorthair Rescue Program.

Jerry is our newest member, joining TLC Ingredients in July 2022 as our Director of Sales, overseeing all aspects of the Sales Team. Jerry has over 30 years of sales and sales management experience, with over 20 years of experience within the chemical industry. His most recent roles included Sales Manager for a Milwaukee based company within the water treatment industry and as a Sales Manager for a prominent chemical manufacturer/distributor headquartered in Michigan focused on the development of a start-up segment throughout the U.S.
Originally from Southern California, Jerry relocated to Illinois in 2001 along with his wife and three sons. He is an active member of his community and thoroughly enjoys golf, CrossFit training, traveling, and cooking.
